WAGON RIDES FOR TUESDAY!

The cute little button over here (finger pointing to the right) was made to spread the word about the VIRTUAL WAGON RIDE that will take place this Saturday (tomorrow) in honor of a little girl named Tuesday Whitt, who was only with her family a short time before returning to heaven. She had an aggressive form of cancer that, despite everyone's best efforts, took over her little body.
Take some time this weekend to be grateful for your children, your spouse, your friends, and all the people in your life that you may, at times, take for granted. I know I will! Tuesday's family is going to have a wagon ride in her honor at a local park, because wagon rides were one of Tuesday's favorite things! Everyone out in cyberspace can join in, in their own way, to celebrate life with their own VIP's. If you take pictures, you can post them here, and the family will be able to see just how far the love for their little girl has spread!

No longer forward nor behind
I look in hope or fear;
But, grateful, take the good I find,
The best of now and here.

-John Greenleaf Whittier, MY PSALM, 1859

After Callie's experience, we've all learned to hold our children close and cherish every moment, but it's good to be reminded. Tonight a neighbor pointed a gun at my 11-year-old's head and threatened him (needless to say, I called out the sheriff's deputies) and so I'm grateful to have all my kids safe in their beds tonight!

We have no wagons here, nor would any of us fit in them these days, but we'll be marching in our hearts!
