NEEDED: MOTIVATION

I am having one of those completely unproductive days. I'm just not feeling any love for the laundry pile that covers the couch in my bedroom (hey, it's clean, and no one has ever died from wearing wrinkled clothes), and I'm certainly opposed to all things grime and dust. I've tried rolling right AND left, and it seems that both sides of the bed are the wrong side to wake up on. I SHOULD try to tackle the pile of papers in my office that threatens to overtake me on a daily basis. Again, just not feeling it.

Do you think our ancestors on the prairies of this GREAT LAND ever had days like this? Probably, but without the luxury of whining about it. I just can't imagine great, great aunt Mabel (names have been changed to protect our good family name) expressing her discontent at having to milk yet ANOTHER cow to her hard-working hubby. Although, she may have uttered a disgusted sigh at seeing yet ANOTHER pile of dungarees that needed beating up against a rock in the river. That was a 1/2 mile walk from the farm. Up hill, both ways. In the snow.
When compared to the obstacles of previous generations, my lack of enthusiasm over doing chores in my beautiful, a/c cooled, gas-heated home seems a bit...pathetic.

On that note, I think I'll put on my happy face, change my attitude, and go clean something! And after I feel that I've earned it, I will return to Blogland, the land of milk, honey, fabulous stories and recipes that my children's children will one day pass down tales about ("Did you know that one day great-great grandma surfed the net and visited 100 blogs of people she didn't even know and left them ALL comments?").

Duty calls.

Thanks for the kick in pants! I have been feeling this way all day...I think it's the Ladybug Festival letdown from school earlier...blah...

But now, I feel refreshed and revitalized and ready to pound some dungarees on some rocks!

Catch ya back here later!

Hey... put the laundry down!!! Today is the only time that you will have today! Celebrate wrinkly clothes day and blog about it!

{I'm making myself feel better for not getting anything done by bringing everyone with me}

Sometimes it is hard to get motivated to do something...it feels nice once the task is actually completed though!

Duty is relative, isn't it? My own piles look equally unappealing, so I console myself that sometimes I have a duty to refill my own joy tanks!

You crack me up! after living for a week without electricity I know how your aunt mable felt and lived! (I was starting to think I was going to have to wash some undies down by the river and hang them on some trees to dry, but thankfully it didn't get to that point!)

You probably deserve and have earned a little time hanging out in bed doing nothing! Enjoy it and live it up i say!

Glad to see I am not the only one not wanting to "tackle" things. I have made a list - but I have lost it and I cannot seem to find the energy to make another one - So I guess my tablet is clear for now - LOL - :)

I love you:) I LMAO at your very cool description of our superhero duo! We should do one of the graphic comic books for moms! LOL!
I want to kung fu that %$*&'s a$$! I actually saw her again last night (without Poo Pants) at Frys. My son had to literally tackle me cause I went to give her the smackdown!

Haha...it is amazing the things that we "complain" about (and I am totally guilty of it too!) that people back then didn't even have a CHANCE to complain about it!

Ok...I am here to share the secret of the scratch...

First pretend these ( ) are gator mouths...side arrows...whatever you call them..know what I mean? Those little things that begin and end html code...(This comment box thingy won't let me do it..so we have to pretend..)

When writing your post click on edit html...write this (del)hot(/del)...the word hot will appear scratched out...(remember the ( ) are really gator mouths or if you want to get technical, the little doodads you get when you shift the , and the . keys......That's it!

Hope that makes sense! It only took me a flippin month to figure it out! LOL!
